Ingredients

  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ½ tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  •  tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Place a pan on low heat. Add in the curry powder and continuously stir for a few seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the curry. Then, set it aside in a mixing bowl.

  2. Using the same pan on medium heat, toss in and continuously stir the walnuts for a few minutes until all turn an even brown.

  3. While the walnuts are still hot, transfer them into the bowl with the curry, and add in the honey and salt.

  4. Mix everything together, then let cool before serving.

Recipe Notes

  • When working with spices, always lightly expose it to heat, to make it more aromatic and flavorful. More importantly, heat makes its nutrients more bioavailable to our bodies.
  • When working with raw honey, avoid cooking it. Rather, add it in the end to make sure the integrity of its raw nutrients and enzymes remain intact.
