4-Ingredient Curry Roasted Walnuts
Ingredients
- ½ cup walnuts
- ½ tsp curry powder
- 1 tsp raw honey
- ⅛ tsp salt
Instructions
-
Place a pan on low heat. Add in the curry powder and continuously stir for a few seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the curry. Then, set it aside in a mixing bowl.
-
Using the same pan on medium heat, toss in and continuously stir the walnuts for a few minutes until all turn an even brown.
-
While the walnuts are still hot, transfer them into the bowl with the curry, and add in the honey and salt.
-
Mix everything together, then let cool before serving.
Recipe Notes
- When working with spices, always lightly expose it to heat, to make it more aromatic and flavorful. More importantly, heat makes its nutrients more bioavailable to our bodies.
- When working with raw honey, avoid cooking it. Rather, add it in the end to make sure the integrity of its raw nutrients and enzymes remain intact.
